There are too many places where you get leather messenger bags. Leather however tends to be expensive. If your looking for cheap is better to look into PU leather bags. PU leather looks like leather but isn’t. For places to shop, Ebags is great and so is Hip Industries (http://www.hipindsutries.com) and diesel.

Really depends on where you’re coming from and what you want to buy.

Food,we definitely lose out to a lot of other countries around us. Though we have varietes,most vendors cooked without their hearts. Most food are palatable,but tasteless in comparism.

Fashion,chances are you will get the real deal in the malls, comparing to Bangkok,Hong Kong and Taiwan. But in terms of trend,we are much slower than Japan,Korea,Taiwan,Hong Kong,China,Thailand.

Electronics, quality is definitely assured because Singaporeans are famous for their complaints and the merchants would lose their businesses if they don’t ensure quality. But prices are subjective to location (due to rental costs) and your bargaining skill.

Leather bags, fat hopes. Paris is cheaper.

Women,one of the most expensive, in any ways.

For leather bags, maybe not. But for electronical & electronic items, yes.

Hmmm… I think Hong Kong is a better place to shop for those items you said. Try shopping at Times Square, Harbour City, Sai Yeung Choi Street (for electronics), Apliu Street Flea Market (for cheap brand new and 2nd hand electronics), Temple Street Night Market, Tung Choi Street (for cheap women’s clothing and bags)…

But Singapore is a good place too, but I think it’s a little more expensive

if you are flying out from singapore airport you are entitled to claim your tax back on any expensive items you have bought, which can mean you make quite a saving. This is what mainly makes it cheaper than the UK for electronic items like laptops.

hongkong would be the better place to shop cheap for clothing, leather bags and electronics. singapore is not so bad but a bit more expensive.

Mypoupette.com is very reliable. They know what bags came with what. They are aware of the changes made from year to year. I have several LV bags purchased directly from the LV store…I can’t smell the leather on any of them unless I press my nose up against them (I just tested this by the way) maybe it’s not leather your smelling. You need to get that bag to an LV store right away to make sure. If it’s not authentic you may still have time to get a refund from the seller. You can buy authentic on e-bay, you just have to be very careful. Also, I see there are a couple for sale on e-bay now, and the prices range from $ 989.00 to $ 1500.00…if you paid a lot less than this then it’s likely fake.
